Korean Movie? Japan too?

https://mainichi.jp/english/articles/20200211/p2g/00m/0et/044000c

A few years ago there was a very popular Japanese movie about a family of thieves. They weren't a real family, if I can remember, but the movie also showed a not so good side of Japanese society, those left out, as does this movie related to Korean society.

The name of the Japanese movie was "Family of Shoplifters",,万引き家族, Manbiki Kazoku, 2018.

Its unfortunate that so-called rich and or advanced countries and societies can't find ways to solve problems such as the ever widening income-gap, which is becoming even bigger in Japan. Korea, yes has one of the largest income-gaps in the world.

Piketty, the French economist of course tried to address this in his book Capital in the 21st Century.

Northern European countries seem to be better at managing the income-gap better than some other advanced countries. But even now they are beginning to have challenges related to it.

Lets hope, and be positive, that Japan, can become a caring and compassionate society where it recognizes the income-gap, and tries to find some meaningful and useful solutions instead of just ignoring the poor, the uneducated, the unfortunate, and the homeless.

Lets also hope Korea too, doesn't just think about the success of the movie but what the movie is really trying to say and show about Korean society, like the Japanese movie tried to maybe show about Japanese society and the forgotten and less fortunate.

Lets hope Korean too doesn't forget about the homeless, uneducated, poor, and in Japan too, senior citizens who are unfortunate.
